On Tuesday night, a natural gas leak and fire erupted on a natural gas rig off the coast of Louisiana. Authorities were called to the scene after it was reported that a worker had fallen into the mobile compacting machine that was located in the back of a box truck and used to crush packaging materials.

Last week, a 40-year-old contract worker at the Port of Port Arthur died following an industrial accident in which a 10-foot piece of iron fell on the victim as he was working on a construction site building silos for storing wood pellets.
